Food and nature day trip

About this Journey

This seasonal Dali day trip turns Yunnan food culture into a forest experience. Instead of only tasting mushrooms in a restaurant, guests go into the countryside with a local guide, learn how wild mushrooms are found, sorted, and understood, and see why this ingredient has such a strong place in Yunnan kitchens.

Dali Wild Mushroom Foraging Day Trip

The day begins near Dali Ancient Town and moves into the mountain countryside, where the pace becomes slower and more tactile. Guests walk through forest areas, listen to local knowledge, look for mushrooms according to the season, and connect what they find with the meal and stories around the guesthouse.

Key visual moments from the route.

This is not just a food tour. It is about the relationship between forest, village, season, and table. When conditions allow, photography, a countryside meal, and an evening gathering around fire can make the day feel less like a class and more like being invited into a local rhythm.
