An overnight stay on the mountain creates time for evening and early-morning light before the descent toward Huangshan North Railway Station.

Itinerary
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Huangshan: Huangshan City
Arrive in Huangshan City and transfer privately from the airport or railway station to the hotel. After check-in, take time to settle before beginning a gentle introduction to the Huizhou region.
Walk through Tunxi Old Street, a well-preserved commercial quarter lined with white-walled buildings, traditional pharmacies, tea shops, ink-stone workshops, and local restaurants. The evening remains relaxed, with time to experience the night market before returning to the hotel.
Day 2: Explore the Heart of Huizhou: Huangshan City – Bishan Village – Hongcun Village
Early in the morning, head to Bishan Village, a little-known poetic village known for its idyllic setting and Bishan Book House, often referred to as the most beautiful bookstore in China.
In the afternoon, travel to the UNESCO-listed Hongcun Village, home to iconic landscapes from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, including the famous South Lake and Moon Pond.
Then drive to the breathtaking Sunset Coffee, a popular spot for stunning night views of the surrounding mountains and traditional architecture. At the end of the tour, return to Huangshan city centre and check in to your hotel for a rest.
Day 3: Mount Huangshan Scenic Area: Huangshan City – Mount Huangshan Scenic Area
Today take the Yungu Cable Car to Yungu Temple and begin your tour of the famous Mount Huangshan Scenic Area. Explore the iconic pines, rocks and sea of clouds that make Mount Huangshan one of China's most famous mountain ranges.
Follow this hiking route:
Beixin Peak → Heihu Pine → Monkey Watching the Sea from afar → Dreaming Brush → Beihai Scenic Spot → Bright Peak (one of the highest peaks in Mount Huangshan, 1860 metres above sea level) → Tianhai Scenic Spot → Ao-yu Peak → Welcome Pine
Close the day near the peak hotel as evening light settles over the granite ridges, then remain on the mountain overnight before the early start the following morning.
Day 4: Farewell to Mount Huangshan: Mount Huangshan Scenic Area – Mount Huangshan North
Rise early for the mountain sunrise then return to the hotel for breakfast. Continue through the Yuping Scenic Area, following the high paths and granite formations toward the Guest-Greeting Pine.
Descend by the Yuping cableway and continue by private vehicle from the lower station to Huangshan North Railway Station. The four-day mountain journey concludes at the station after the final high-path walk through the Yuping Scenic Area.
