Private cultural journey
About this Journey
Xi’an and Mount Hua combine imperial archaeology, mountain scenery, city heritage, and live performance in a five-day private journey.

The Terracotta Warriors and a hands-on clay workshop introduce Qin history before a full day at Mount Hua and an evening historical performance.

The route then returns to Xi’an’s City Wall, Muslim Quarter, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Tang Mall, and Shaanxi History Museum before departure.

The journey is arranged for one private travel party. Mountain access, museum tickets, and performance schedules are confirmed before booking.
Itinerary
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Xi’an
Arrive at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport or a central railway station and transfer to the confirmed hotel. After check-in, rest and become familiar with the surrounding district.
The evening includes a short orientation walk near Bell and Drum Tower Square before returning to the hotel. The main sightseeing programme begins the following morning in Lintong.

Day 2: Terracotta Warriors & Hands-On Qin Heritage
Travel east from Xi’an to Lintong and enter the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum. Explore the principal excavation pits, comparing the infantry, archers, horses, and chariots while learning how the figures were made, buried, discovered, and conserved.
Continue with a hands-on clay-warrior workshop based on the techniques used to reconstruct replica figures. Shape and assemble a small warrior while the instructor explains the details that distinguish the original army’s ranks and expressions.
Finish at Lishan Garden’s Bronze Chariot Exhibition Hall, where detailed bronze vehicles and horses reveal another aspect of Qin imperial craftsmanship. Return to Xi’an after the visit.

Day 3: Mount Hua & Historical Stage Performance
Leave Xi’an for Mount Hua and use the confirmed park transport and cableway to reach the mountain route operating that day. Follow the open paths and viewpoints across the granite ridges, allowing time for the steep steps and changing mountain conditions.
Descend in the afternoon and return toward Xi’an. The exact mountain path follows the cableway and park sections open on the confirmed travel date.
In the evening, attend the confirmed historical stage performance, which presents stories and imagery from the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties. Return to the hotel after the show.

Day 4: Xi’an City Wall, Muslim Quarter & Grand Tang Mall
Begin on Xi’an’s Ming-era City Wall, looking across the old city from the preserved ramparts. Continue through the Muslim Quarter, where mosques, market lanes, and food traditions reflect centuries of exchange along the Silk Road.
Visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the afternoon and learn about its connection with Xuanzang and the translation of Buddhist scriptures during the Tang dynasty.
After sunset, walk through Grand Tang Mall, the illuminated pedestrian district south of the pagoda. Music, public performances, sculpture, and lighting create a lively Tang-inspired atmosphere.

Day 5: Shaanxi History Museum, Yongxingfang & Departure
Begin at Shaanxi History Museum, where bronzes, ceramics, murals, and objects from successive dynasties trace the region’s central role in Chinese history. Follow the chronological galleries from early settlement through the Han and Tang dynasties.
Continue to Yongxingfang for Shaanxi food traditions and a shadow-puppet demonstration. The lanes provide a final introduction to regional crafts and snacks before the onward transfer.
At the confirmed time, transfer to Xi’an Xianyang International Airport or the railway station. The journey concludes on arrival at the selected departure point.
